Sectors

Faith and education institutions must balance tradition and governance structures with modern scrutiny.

Cultural debate and evolution, safeguarding expectations and policy change create complex reputational environments.

We provide experienced senior counsel to leaders navigating challenge, regulatory oversight and stakeholder priorities. By recognising sensitivities with strategic clarity, we help institutions build trust, maintain their values and manage public accountability with confidence and transparency.

St Paul's Cathedral

Managing global attention at a moment of national mourning

St Paul’s Cathedral plays a central role in moments of national reflection and commemoration, attracting intense international attention.

Luther Pendragon provided strategic communications and media management support following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, during an unprecedented period of national mourning. We advised the Cathedral team on managing significant global media interest around services of remembrance and ceremonial activity.

Our work included briefing senior figures on royal protocol, advising on messaging and sequencing, and supporting the Bishop of London in her public role, including announcing the Queen’s death and participating in the State Funeral. The programme ensured calm, confident communications at a moment of exceptional sensitivity, enabling the Cathedral to fulfil its national role with dignity and authority.

Highgate

Delivering Planning Confidence for a Historic Independent School

Highgate is a leading independent co-educational school with a 460-year heritage, located in the heart of Highgate Village in north London.

Luther Pendragon supports the Head, Governors and senior leadership across media relations, crisis communications, public affairs and strategic messaging linked to the School’s long-term estates programme. Over seven years, we guided Highgate through a complex planning process, designing public consultations, exhibitions and digital engagement platforms, while maintaining sustained dialogue with Haringey Council, elected members and active community groups including the Highgate Society.

Our work contributed to the successful adoption of a Supplementary Planning Document for the School’s campus, embedding development principles within the Local Plan. The approval reduced opposition, strengthened stakeholder confidence and enabled Highgate to move forward with significant estate renewal.
