Beany specialises in media and public affairs, and advises clients on all aspects of communications. She joined Luther Pendragon in 2003 from the Credit Suisse Group, where she was Head of External Communications for the Life & Pensions Unit.
With over 20 years’ experience in media and communications Beany has advised the Boeing Company, Drax Group plc, Morgan Stanley Capital International, Charles Schwab, Severn Trent, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, British Horseracing Authority, Totesport and Rathbone Brothers plc.
Beany is recognised as one of the industry’s most effective operators, whether guiding strategic plans for long-term change or handling short-term business issues. She has a logical approach to campaign planning and communications problem solving which she says has evolved from her early engineering training.
Never daunted by a challenge, she has promoted sporting participation in post-war Iraq, run live press offices at international events, dealt with corporate scandals, serious reputational challenges and high profile disputes. Finding it hard to put down her pen, having made the transition from media to PR in the 90s, she continued to cover the equestrian sport for The Sunday Telegraph during her first decade at Luther.
She is a member of the Aviation Club and a judge for the Society of Editors’, National Press Awards. Beany has a BEng (Honours) in Civil Engineering from Leeds University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Journalism from the London College of Printing.
